Nei te mihi ki te hunga nō te moutere o Tonga. I tēnei wiki i ako mātau o Waipaoa i ētahi āhuatanga e hāngai ana ki te ahurea o Tonga.

Greetings Everyone,

This is an acknowledgement to those who are connected to the islands of Tonga. This week, we as Waipaoa looked at some aspects of the Tongan culture.

This week we've looked at some aspects of NZ money. We have links to the $50 note as one of the tribes of the person on that money is Ngāti Porou

Even though it's week 10 at our school, we've actually been at school for four weeks, many new experiences we learned. One of those new experiences is creating our Learning Maps. We identified who are the people and places that help us learn. Look at our Google Slides.

We developed our knowledge of the Queen of England and the Māori Royal Family from Waikato (Tainui), have a look at our Google Slide. One thing that amazed us was the amount of rooms in Buckingham Palace, Wow

Ko tētahi mea i rata ki a mātau, ā, ko te whāngai i ngā honu, me te mīharo te kite i a rātau e kauhoe tata ana me te kai i te papaia mai i te ringa o te tangata.

In celebration of Sāmoan Language Week 'Gagana Sāmoa', we learned some aspects of that country, look at our Google Slide to see our mahi. One of the items we enjoyed was 'Feeding the Turtles', it was great to see them swim so close and eat pawpaw from the hand of a person.
